Tdim (pronounced "Tim") grew up on the outskirts of Bangkok Thailand and began cooking as a young girl, assisting her mother in supporting their large family.
She has lived in western Montana for over 18 years. The name "SA-WAD-DEE" is a traditional Thai greeting meaning "hello".
It is customary for a younger person to initiate this greeting to an elder.
